A FUTURE OF EQUITY AND HEALTH
Together we can challenge food insecurity and the barriers facing beginning farmers, helping ensure our local food system provides all community members with a healthy, safe, and vibrant place to live.

OUR INITIATIVES THAT CHANGE LIVES
Aspiring Farmer Residency
Aspiring Farmer Residency
For one year, 5 individuals work as a team to manage the Big Muddy Urban Farm’s market farm operation in exchange for housing. Aside from growing food, each individual learns how to manage crops, marketing, and business skills needed to run a market farm.
Throughout the summer, Big Muddy Urban Farm works with the Gifford Park Community Garden to provide programming to the Youth Garden participants. Over 40 kids each week, lessons range from planting seeds to cooking with garden veggies!
